This series came from my study abroad program through the Rhode Island School of Design and the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland. In the program I studied illuminated manuscript illustration and immersed myself in the Irish folklore tradition. In my studies, I read Meeting the Other Crowd, a transcription of collected oral folktales from across Ireland by Eddie Lenihan and Carolyn Eve Green. The following are illustrations meant to be paired with specific stories from the book that stood out to me.
